[Beloit, WI] – The Stateline World Trade Association (SLWTA) will host an afternoon workshop and a dinner program on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Butterfly Club in Beloit, WI.

“The SLWTA is pleased to offer these important programs to stateline area companies involved in international commerce. Importers and exporters will gain valuable knowledge related to current rules and regulations. Consultants, attorneys and bankers with clients involved in international trade will also benefit from these programs,” said SLWTA President, Amy Loudenbeck.

Part One of the afternoon workshop will focus on compliance with Incoterms 2010. Incoterms are a series of pre-defined commercial terms widely used in international commercial transactions.

Part Two of the afternoon workshop will cover the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP), particularly those related to payment terms in letters of credit between buyers and sellers. The UCP is utilized by bankers and commercial parties in more than 175 countries.

Ulice Payne, an advisor regarding global trade compliance solutions, will be the featured speaker at the dinner meeting. Mr. Payne will address compliance with government regulations for importers and exporters, 2011 supply chain highlights, and the supply chain outlook for 2012 and beyond.
