WISCONSIN – Bill Goodman, President of Schenck SC, has been elected Chair of AGN International-North America, Inc. (AGN-NA), one of the leading associations of independent accounting firms in North America.

As AGN-NA Chair, Goodman will preside at meetings of the North American Region’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee throughout 2012. Goodman and the AGN-NA Executive Committee’s primary focus will be continuing to implement tactics to achieve the association’s mission to help member firms achieve their goals.

AGN-NA currently has 46 member accounting firms in North America. AGN-NA is part of AGN International, Ltd., which has 467 offices and 197 member firms in 89 countries, and is ranked as one of the largest associations of accounting firms in the world. World headquarters are in London, and the North American headquarters are in Denver, CO.

Goodman has served on AGN-NA’s Board of Directors since 2006 and on its Executive Committee since 2009. He joined Schenck as President in 2003. Prior to that, he was the managing partner of the Milwaukee office for one of the Big Four firms.

He is actively involved in a leadership capacity for various professional and community organizations and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), where he was a past governing council member, and is a past board member and president of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Schenck, founded in 1930, dates its AGN membership back to 2006. Schenck is a full-service CPA and business consulting firm with more than 500 employees, and 9 locations throughout Wisconsin.
