MILWAUKEE, Wis. (October 18, 2012) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced the additions of Lindsey W. Davis, James Goldschmidt and Leila N. Sahar to the firm’s Milwaukee office. Davis joins the Labor & Employment Group and Goldschmidt and Sahar join the Commercial Litigation Group.
About the Attorneys:
Lindsey Davis joins the firm as an associate in the Labor & Employment Group. Prior to law school, Davis worked as an investigative intern at the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office and served as the Executive Director of Outreach for The 10,000 Hours Show, a community-based volunteer organization. While in law school she worked as a judicial intern for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Newport News, Virginia and participated in the school’s Legal Aid Clinic. Davis earned her law degree from William and Mary Law School and her bachelor’s degree in political science, legal studies, and psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
James Goldschmidt joins the firm as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group. Goldschmidt has worked in both the health care industry and higher education, with experience at ANEW Health Care Services in Wauwatosa, WI and the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. While in law school, he served as an intern at the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, collaborating with the organization’s litigation director in multiple stages of a long-pending class action, including a motion to dismiss, consolidation of cases, stipulated findings of fact, and class certification. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School and his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Harvard College.
Leila Sahar also joins the firm as an associate in the Commercial Litigation Group. Prior to law school, Sahar worked at the Democratic National Committee in its Voter Protection Department. She also volunteered at the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee, assisting with consumer protection matters. Since 2009, Sahar has been an at-large DNC member for the Democratic National Committee and serves on its Rules & Bylaws Committee. While in law school, she served as an extern for the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Civil Litigation Unit in Madison, Wisconsin. Also during law school, Sahar worked at the Georgetown University Domestic Violence Clinic where she represented victims of domestic abuse in obtaining civil protection orders and other relief. She earned her law degree from Georgetown University and her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Lawrence University.
