MILWAUKEE, Wis. (May 30, 2012) – The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Michael J. Gonring, a partner in the Firm’s Milwaukee office, will receive the Distinguished Service Award from the Milwaukee Bar Association (MBA).
The Distinguished Service Award is given to a member of the bar association whose extraordinary service to the bar over the years has helped to support and better the profession. Gonring was selected to receive the award for being a leader and role model and for his efforts to promote pro bono activities within the profession. He will be honored at the MBA’s 154th Annual Meeting & Luncheon on June 12 in Milwaukee.
Gonring is a member of the Firm’s Product Liability, Toxic Tort and Personal Injury Litigation Group. He is the former chairman of the Delivery of Legal Services Committee for the Wisconsin Access to Justice Commission, serves as current chairman of the board of trustees for the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and is the Firm’s pro bono coordinator.
He earned both his law degree, cum laude, and undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Marquette University.
