MILWAUKEE, Wis. (November 12, 2012) — The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Changxia “Walter” Sun has joined the firm’s Milwaukee office as an associate in the Intellectual Property Group.

Sun is active in preparing and prosecuting both U.S. and international patent applications. His technical expertise is in life science and biochemistry, but he also has worked in other technology areas including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, material science and engineering. Specifically, Sun has worked on patent applications for therapeutic molecules, stem cells, molecular diagnostics, vaccine, genetic therapeutics, DNA synthesis, proteomics, multifunctional nanoparticles, drug delivery systems, and medical devices.

He earned his law degree from Northwestern University School of Law and both his Ph.D. and undergraduate degrees from Shandong University in Jinan China.
