Quaker Steak and Lube: Rewards police and EMS crews
Offers discounted food to service members

New Berlin, WI. Of all the emergencies police and EMS crews face, one they won’t have to worry about May 13th to May 19th is too few chicken wings. In support of National Police and EMS Week, Quaker Steak and Lube will reward any police and EMS service members by taking 20 percent off their tab.

“Police and EMS workers are under intense stress and face life-threatening situations every day. With emergencies, every second matters,” says Quaker Steak and Lube marketing/activities coordinator, Leah Kusch. We want to make sure these brave men and women know how much we appreciate all they do for our communities.”

Kusch knows and respects many of the police and EMS crews that patronize the establishment. They know the stress these people are under and how they make the tough split second decisions that make New Berlin a safer, healthier city.

During National Police and EMS Week, May 13th -19th, any crew can show up at the Madison, Middleton or New Berlin Quaker Steak and Lube locations will receive a heartfelt thanks from the grateful staff as well as the 20 percent off their tab, alcohol excluded, when they show their police or EMS identification.

Quaker Steak and Lube is no stranger to helping out the Madison area’s service members. Back in 2009, when funding for a motorcycle lease fell through for the Middleton Police Department, Scott Acker, owner of the Madison-area franchise quickly stepped in and donated over $15,000 to cover the 3-year lease, that included training, and equipping the police motorcycle. When the lease expired last fall, Acker again donated to keep the motorcycle on the streets.

“Anything that allows Southern Wisconsin’s brave souls to perform their jobs better, we’ll definitely support,” says Acker.
