MILWAUKEE (June 6, 2012) – The National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF) announced today that it has launched a nationwide search for a new Executive Director and General Counsel.

Jason L. Brown, who currently holds the post, will resign, effective August 3, 2012, to accept a position with MillerCoors.

“Jason helped to elevate NAMWOLF’s stature in the legal community and solidify our brand recognition,” said NAMWOLF Chairman Emery Harlan. “He also guided the development of a strategic plan that will ensure that NAMWOLF retains its status as the premier organization promoting the interests of women and minority-owned law firms. We wish him well in his new position. He will be sorely missed.”

“Under Jason’s leadership, NAMWOLF recently hosted its most successful annual meeting and expo, and established regional meetings to bring corporations and governmental agencies together with our members in a more intimate setting,” said Linda Burwell, a member of the NAMWOLF Board of Directors. “Jason’s passion and enthusiasm for NAMWOLF and for the growth of minority and women owned law firms is contagious, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with him in his new position.”

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my tenure at NAMWOLF and I am proud of the advances the organization has made over the past two years,” said Jason L. Brown. “I am confident NAMWOLF will continue to reach new levels of success and I hope to continue to actively support the organization while in my new role with MillerCoors.”
