MILWAUKEE (Aug. 6, 2012) – Full service commercial brokerage firm NAI MLG Commercial has leased the top floor at 757 N. Broadway St. in downtown Milwaukee and will be relocating its entire 35-person Milwaukee area staff to the 9,000 square foot office.

Most of NAI MLG Commercial’s Milwaukee brokers and staff are currently located at Bishop’s Woods in Brookfield, with additional team members located in downtown Milwaukee in Riverfront Plaza on Old World Third Street. Recognizing the benefits of bringing all the staff to one location was a significant factor in the decision to seek new space. NAI MLG Commercial plans to move to the new office on October 1, 2012.

“We determined that downtown Milwaukee is the best location for NAI MLG Commercial’s office. The energy there gives us a great springboard to all the markets we serve and enables collaboration between brokers, staff and clients in a fantastic environment. It gives us the best of all worlds,” said Bruce Westling, Principal of NAI MLG Commercial. “Our new space also provides us with room to grow as we continue working with clients across Wisconsin and around the world, through our continued association with NAI Global.”

NAI MLG Commercial is the only MLG-branded firm that will be moving. Other firms using the MLG name are separate business entities and will remain in the Brookfield offices, including: MLG Development, MLG Management and MLG Capital.

“We continue to work closely with other MLG businesses when appropriate, but it is important to note that we are all separate companies,” said John Malloy, Principal of NAI MLG Commercial. “Moving NAI MLG Commercial to a separate address is an outward sign of a distinction that has always existed, although similar company names may sometimes cause some confusion in the market.”

Westling and Malloy also cited new business development, along with recruitment and retention benefits as key to their decision to move downtown. Max Dermond of Dermond Property Investments, which owns the building and several others around downtown, said the proximity to decision makers at other firms, great dining options, clubs and networking events are attractive for firms like NAI MLG Commercial.

“NAI MLG Commercial will be a great anchor tenant for 757 Broadway,” said Dermond. “They are going to add a lot to the downtown office landscape.”
