Manpower survey: Healthy hiring projected for Wisconsin

Employers in Wisconsin expect to hire at a healthy pace during the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.

From October to December, 19 percent of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 8 percent expect to reduce their payrolls. Another 71 percent expect to maintain their current staff levels and 2 percent are not certain of their hiring plans.

Manpower spokesperson Mike Steinmetz said the outlook is weaker compared to the third quarter, but compared to a year ago, “employers are slightly more optimistic about their staffing plans.”
