More power, management systems and upgraded gear, Kohler Generators offers users more options in standby power

KOHLER, Wis. – Feb. 8, 2012 – Kohler® Power Systems, a premium manufacturer and marketer of world class generators and automatic transfer switches, today announced the launch of new generators, automatic transfer switches and advanced system management equipment for the residential and light commercial markets. The new products include:

48RCL – 48kW Generator

Meet the newest member of the Kohler generator family! The new 48RCL is a whole house generator that provides complete protection for 200 Amp electrical service with a small footprint and extremely quiet sound levels.

Load Control Module (LCM)

Want a smaller generator for a house with greater power requirements? Kohler’s new load control module, allows for a smaller generator to be installed for a home with larger power needs, and then cycles loads on and off in order of priority if needed.

Programmable Interface Module (PIM)

When the power goes out at home and you’re away, turn on needed items with Kohler’s new Programmable Interface Module (PIM) via the OnCue® Generator Management System. With a touch of a button, users can now turn on critical items (storm shutters, security systems, etc.) while away.

RXT Line of Automatic Transfer Switches

Available in 100-, 200- or 400-amp models, Kohler’s RXT Line of new transfer switches features all aluminum enclosures that are rated for outdoor use. Single-phase, three-phase, service-entrance rated and standard models are available. The new switches also offer the option of an exterior display for remote system status.

OnCue® Generator Management System

Kohler has upgraded its OnCue® system for easy installation and more system control. Users and service partners can now conveniently connect to the generator for real-time status updates on performance and operation from remote locations. The program allows users to monitor their entire system—generator, automatic transfer switch, Load Control Module (LCM) and Programmable Interface Module (PIM). Users can even operate the generator and PIM remotely and receive status updates via text message or email.

14RESA and 20RESA Generators

Kohler has updated its award-winning 14kW and 20kW generators with lower sound levels, an easy-to-read display and a redesigned controller compatible with Kohler’s new OnCue® Generator Management System 3.0, Load Control Module and Programmable Interface Module. With outstanding power quality and a quick start, these generators still have the power users need while offering more control of their generator and power needs.
