Agreement also names STAR the credit union’s preferred debit network
ATLANTA – First Data today announced that Kilowatt Credit Union of Madison, Wis., has selected First Data for debit processing services. The credit union also joined the STAR Network, signing a multi-year agreement under which STAR will provide PIN-secured debit point-of-sale (POS) and ATM access to its cardholders.
Kilowatt Credit Union serves the employees and families of Alliant Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries, as well as residents of Columbia, Dane, Dodge and Sauk counties with branches in Madison and Rio, Wis. The credit union is a member of the Wisconsin Credit Union League. The League has had a relationship with First Data for debit processing services for more than a decade. STAR is one of the nation’s leading electronic funds transfer (EFT) networks, with more than 2 million retail and ATM locations, and a First Data company. First Data is a global leader in electronic commerce and payment processing.
