Kahler Slater: Wins three 2011 ASID Wisconsin Design Excellence awards

Health Care Projects Bring Home Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards

MILWAUKEE – The health care team from the Milwaukee and Madison, Wis. offices of Kahler Slater, an award-winning architecture and experience design firm, received Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the 2011 ASID Wisconsin Design Excellence Awards.

Presented by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, the awards recognize outstanding interior design in such categories as corporate/office space, health care, retail and hospitality. Winners were chosen by a jury of ASID members from throughout the country.

Honored with a Gold Award was The Luther Building, a major addition to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire campus in Eau Claire, Wis. The expansion included a new hospital bed tower and renovated surgery department.

Earning a Silver Award was Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Va., a complete replacement hospital.

Receiving a Bronze Award was the renovated Van Dyke Haebler Imaging Center at Columbia-St. Mary’s Women’s Hospital in Milwaukee.
