Jet Air Group & Frontline Aviation add flight simulator
(Green Bay, WI) Jet Air Group and has expanded its aviation training facility to include an FAA-approved flight simulator, one of the first of its kind in the Green Bay area.
The addition of the flight simulator and a new pilot testing center positions Jet Air as one of the most comprehensive aviation training facilities in the area. “The flight simulator is state-of-the-art offering students and current pilots training and a hands-on experience,” stated Al Timmerman, Chief Operating Officer of Jet Air Group. “And because the simulator is FAA certified, students can apply hours logged on the simulator toward the number of flight hours needed to earn their license.”
The simulator can mimic multiple types of aircraft with various weather conditions, system failures and scenery. “It’s important for students and current pilots to be exposed to varying types of scenarios,” Timmerman stated. “A change in weather patterns and other issues can arise at any moment. The simulator does an outstanding job of preparing pilots to navigate through almost anything.”
The training facility also offers a Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) center. “As a CATS testing center, we can administer any FAA exam that pilots need,” Timmerman explained. “In addition to private pilot testing, students or pilots may choose to test for their license / certification as a recreational, sports and commercial pilot.”
Timmerman says that Jet Air has also added helicopter training to its list of services. “We’ve added a Robinson R22 helicopter to our fleet and are very excited to be able to offer this training,” Timmerman stated. “All of these new additions, along with our continued partnership with Lakeland College and the four-year aviation program, make Jet Air the “go to” place for flight training and certification.”
