Industries for the Blind, Inc. – Milwaukee has purchased Top Promotions

West Allis, Wis. – Industries for the Blind, Inc. – Milwaukee (IB Milwaukee), a single-source supplier of products and services, and leading employer for the visually impaired, announced today it has acquired Middleton, Wis.-based Top Promotions, an award-winning provider of quality imprinted products and related services throughout North America.

“While we have many years of experience providing promotional products to government agencies and other private institutions, the new acquisition will allow for us to extend our promotional product sales to an even broader network of customers in corporate markets,” said Chuck Lange, president of IB Milwaukee. “We see tremendous value in Top Promotion’s strong brand recognition, management team and sales staff.”

While, as a result of the acquisition and planned sales growth, IB Milwaukee intends to add at least 25 new blind employment opportunities over the next few years, management and day-to-day operations at Top Promotions’ Middleton facility will remain unchanged.

IB Milwaukee is a single-source supplier for a wide selection of products, ranging from office supplies, furniture and homecare items to clothing, uniforms, promotional items, and more. A self-sustaining, not-for-profit organization, it was established 60 years ago to provide employment opportunities for blind or visually impaired individuals, and continues to work to grow the number of blind individuals it employs.

Beginning as a small t-shirt printing shop in 1983, Top Promotions has grown to one of the largest national screen printing, embroidery and promotional products suppliers, providing a full range of promotional product solutions.

“Our team is excited to be a part of an organization with such an honorable mission,” said Craig Reisdorf, former owner and now senior vice president of the Top Promotions division of Industries for the Blind. “We have partnered with IB Milwaukee on the manufacturing of promotional products for twelve years now, and have established a great relationship with the company.”

“I, along with the entire management and sales staff, will still hold the same positions and responsibilities as we did before the acquisition. We are proud to have retained all of our employees, and I’d like to remind Top Promotions’ current customers they’ll still receive the same great products and services as always, but they’ll now be helping to make a positive impact on people’s lives,” added Reisdorf.
