Hogs for Guide Dogs: Motocycle scavenger hunt

Saturday, June 23, 11 am – 3 pm

Motorcycle Ride to Benefit OccuPaws Guide Dog Association

Quaker Steak & Lube, Middleton WI

Come join us for a scenic motorcycle ride through Southern Wisconsin. The Hogs for Guide Dogs charity motorcycle scavenger hunt and ride, sponsored by OccuPaws Guide Dog Association, will help provide guide dogs for visually impaired children and adults in Wisconsin.

The $20 entry includes a 90 mile scavenger hunt, food, soft drinks, vendors, a silent auction, raffles, and a great band, The Red Hot Horn Dawgs. The ride begins and ends at Quaker Steak & Lube, 2259 Deming Way in Middleton. Registration begins at 10am, or you can pre-register by June 16, 2012 (at Occupaws.org) and get your name entered in a special drawing for $200 motorcycle speakers! First bikes leave at 11:00am. Riders stop at designated locations to earn free raffle tickets, and then return to Quaker Steak & Lube to get free food and soft drinks, participate in the raffle, and bid on silent auction items. The Red Hot Horn Dawgs begin playing at 3pm.

OccuPaws puppies and volunteers will meet and greet the public and answer questions. All proceeds from this fundraiser will directly benefit OccuPaws’ Guide Dog program.

OccuPaws Guide Dog Association raises, trains, and places highly skilled Guide Dogs with Wisconsin residents who are visually impaired. The dogs, valued at $25,000 when placed, are provided at no charge to the recipients. Some are placed with visually impaired children through OccuPaws’ pioneering Children’s Visual Companion Dog program.

Major sponsors of Hogs for Guide Dogs are AMS, Quaker Steak & Lube, The Red Hot Horn Dawgs, and Dick Van Patten’s Natural Balance Pet Foods, Inc.
