(APPLETON, WI) — Hoffman LLC, an Appleton-based firm of planning, design, and construction professionals, has a new owner and name. Miles Girouard, Hoffman’s director of architectural services, heads the ownership group that has purchased the assets of the firm from Paul J. Hoffman. After 35 years as president and owner, Hoffman will remain connected to the firm as a consultant.

The new company is Hoffman Planning, Design, & Construction, Inc.

Girouard has been with Hoffman LLC for six years and has more than 25 years of experience in the design and construction industry. He leads an ownership group that includes Hoffman employees Pat Del Ponte (director of planning services), Randy Bremhorst (project principal), Sam Statz (director of construction services), Terry Ellenbecker (director of field operations), and Sandy Orsted (director of strategic alliances).

Del Ponte, Bremhorst, Statz, Ellenbecker, and Girouard have over 100 years combined experience in providing planning, design, and construction services. Orsted has over 25 years business experience, including contract management, legal, and risk management.

“Hoffman has a strong reputation in both the community and the design and construction industry,” Girouard commented. “Paul’s innovation and forward-thinking has been key to Hoffman’s success and he has positioned the company well for the future. Our company will continue that legacy.”

The Hoffman family entered the construction industry in Appleton in 1892. Paul Hoffman continued the family tradition and began the fourth generation of leadership by starting his company in 1977. “I am excited for the company and its future,” Hoffman stated. “The firm is in very capable hands and I’m looking forward to seeing the company continue to be an industry leader.”

Although the company has new ownership, few changes will be implemented. “The company will retain the Hoffman brand that our clients and industry partners rely on,” Girouard stated.

The company’s internal operations, services offered, and value provided, will remain the same. “Our clients will work with the same expert staff using the same collaborative approach that we always have,” Girouard said. “The transition will be seamless for everyone involved.”
