(Appleton, WI) Hoffman LLC, a planning, design, and construction firm in Appleton, has been selected by Oshkosh Investors, LLC to renovate the City Center Hotel located at 1 North Main Street in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The renovation of the eight-story hotel will include 179 rooms, a full-menu restaurant, and high-quality, state-of-the-art meeting and banquet facilities.

Oshkosh Investors, LLC, who purchased the hotel in February, is comprised of partners John Pfefferle (Pfefferle Companies, Inc), Richard Batley (RB Hospitality) and the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh Foundation.

“We selected Hoffman because of their thorough knowledge of the building and renovation needs of the project,” stated Arthur Rathjen, President of the UW-Oshkosh Foundation. “They have a clear understanding of the goals and objectives in renovating this facility into a first-class conference hotel for Oshkosh, the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin.”

Hoffman has already started initial work on the 131,000 square foot building. “The goal is to create a state-of-the-art, full service business hotel,” stated Sam Statz, director of construction services with Hoffman. “The renovation will complement the attached Oshkosh Convention Center and nearby UW-Oshkosh academic conference events.”

The City Center Hotel will serve as an economic catalyst for the greater Oshkosh community, bringing in new jobs and supporting the retail stores, cafes and other attractions. “The renovation of the City Center Hotel is vital to Oshkosh’s economic development and Hoffman is extremely proud to be a part of this project,” Statz stated. “Working closely with the city of Oshkosh has enabled us to successfully coordinate efforts on the Riverwalk development and hotel renovation. When completed, the City Center Hotel will be an asset to the community for years to come.”
