OSHKOSH, WI – 4/17/12 – The Sustainability Expo presented by Healthy Living Events LLC and sponsored by the Oshkosh Northwestern, Nature’s Pathways Magazine, Festival Foods, Gourmet Grassfed, Offbeat Press, Rely Local Oshkosh, and Oshkosh Farmers Market is bringing together Wisconsin’s best organic chefs who will be serving exceptional food, conducting informative workshops, and providing fascinating cooking demos.

It’s a celebration of the farmers that grow our food and the chefs that transform it. Join us for fabulous food and drinks, live music, and an opportunity to connect with other healthy food enthusiasts. Nowhere else will you find an all organic food court featuring mouthwatering and satisfying dishes prepared by some of the State’s finest restaurants. They are exclusively using organic ingredients with many local and seasonal foods from sustainable farms. Vegetarian, gluten free, low sugar, and non dairy options are available. All meats are grassfed, free range, and pastured and all foods are prepared with healthy oils. This is REAL Food!

Organic Food Court –

This collective of talented chefs and foodies is bringing Wisconsin’s food heritage back and they’re doing so in style! These chefs pride themselves in creating tantalizing, creative dishes featuring local ingredients straight from Wisconsin’s sustainable farms. They take sustainability raised meats and craft them into mouthwatering, savory fresh and cured sausages including those made in the style of the olden days..unlike anything you will find in the grocery store. Enjoy Living Fresh Almond Milk or sample a Riverside Rice Roll – 2 Rice wraps stuffed with sunflower & sundried tomato hummus, red onion, zucchini, carrots, spinach, lettuce, tomato and sunflower sprouts!

Shine Cafe –

The morning of the Expo starts off at the Shine Cafe. Try Organic Coffees and Teas from around the world and learn how to brew the perfect cup. Delicious Bakery items will be available to help you make every day, a Good Day. Traditional baked goods as well as specialty diets will be represented. Participate in an early morning workout followed by a hot cup of organic coffee.

Workshops & Cooking Demos –

Enlighten and expand your mind with informative and dynamic food workshops such as Living with Energy: How to Never Be Sick Again. Other workshops include learning how to prepare quick, easy and healthy meals, plus tips how to get better food for your family, and many more.

In addition to the workshops, don’t miss the sustainable, healthy cooking demonstrations featuring local celebrity chefs.

Tasting Safari –

Children, join us for a WILD Food Safari! Taste what makes the gorilla stronger than superman, the hippo able to crush granite with its jaws, a gazelle jump higher than a basketball hoop, and a charging bull as powerful as a freight train! It’s Living Food! RAW, POWER PACKED FOOD!

Take a trip though the wild side of your taste buds. Come discover what foods you enjoy at our Tasting Safari! Try sample bites of a 100 crunchy, squishy, juicy, slurpy, salty, nutty, and rich foods. Get your Health Passport stamped with every bite you take. Each 20 stamps makes you eligible for GREAT prizes! Find out what makes your taste buds roar on this adventure to ultimate strength and health. Each participant takes home their Passport to Health: a complete list of likes and dislikes so they know what they like.

Cheese Carver –

We welcome the “Cheese Lady” to the Sustainability Expo! She will be carving two forty pound organic cheese blocks into 3D masterpieces during the expo so stop past and watch an artist in action! Sarah Kaufmann “The Cheese Lady” is a nationally recognized, and Guinness World Record holder, cheese sculptor. Since 1996, “The Cheese Lady” has received hundreds of commissions for her cheese creations, which have captured countless media impressions in print, radio, television newscasts, talk shows, food shows and sportscasts. Kaufmann creates the jaw-dropping sculptures in her Cincinnati and San Diego studios.
