Stoughton Trailers was recently awarded Green Professional status under the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council’s Green Masters Program. A representative from Stoughton Trailers, John Hurtenbach is “honored with our Green Professional designation as our company is dedicated to improving efficiency in order to cut waste and energy, generate cost savings and most importantly manufacture high quality products.”

Stoughton Trailers is located in Stoughton, WI and manufactures conventional and long-haul transportation equipment. It houses one of the most modern and high-tech plants in the country and produces one container every 40 minutes. The Green Professional status is one of over 11 awards Stoughton Trailers has received in the past decade. It is renowned for its extremely high standards and employee relations.

The Green Professional designation is the second highest tier in the Green Masters Program established by the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. Candidates are judged on a comprehensive range of sustainability issues from energy and natural resource use to education outreach and purchasing. 94 Wisconsin businesses have participated in the program where the top twenty percent achieve the highest “Green Master” designation.
