Godfrey & Kahn: Shareholder Christine Liu McLaughlin named 2012 Woman of Influence by The Business Journal of Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (July 3, 2012) –Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. is proud to announce that attorney shareholder Christine Liu McLaughlin has been named a 2012 Woman of Influence in the Inspiration category by The Business Journal of Milwaukee.

This is the 13th year that The Business Journal has honored Milwaukee’s most influential women. This year, more than 220 nominations were received and 29 women were recognized. Winners were honored at an awards luncheon celebration at the Frontier Airlines Center on June 15.

McLaughlin is a shareholder in the Labor & Employment Law Practice Group and is chair of Godfrey & Kahn’s Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) and Diversity Committee. She has been an attorney with the firm since January 2000 and currently serves on the firm’s Board of Directors.

McLaughlin provides counsel on a wide variety of labor and employment law issues ranging from interpretation and application of federal and state employment laws to specialized employee transition matters in complex business transactions. She also has extensive experience in evaluating and drafting federal and Wisconsin state affirmative action plans, as well as advising on compliance reviews. In addition, McLaughlin provides counsel on employment, contract and business entry issues relating to China.

McLaughlin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University and earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
