(MADISON, Wis.)—Entrepreneurs, investors, programmers and B2B companies from a diverse mix of industries will be in town Aug. 15-25 for the third annual Forward Technology Festival, a 10-day celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.

“We’ve worked hard to make this the premiere tech event in Madison, yet still attract people from all over the Midwest,” festival co-founder and president of SupraNet Communications Bryan Chan said. “Our goal is to give attendees the opportunity to learn, share ideas and network.”

The festival’s main event is the Forward Technology Conference, which takes place Aug. 22 at the UW Memorial Union. Rimas Buinevicius, who won this year’s Governor’s Business Plan Contest with his RoWheels invention, will be the keynote speaker.

Other highlights of the festival include a women’s entrepreneur networking breakfast and the annual Madison Ruby Conference.

Originally started in 2010, the Forward Technology Festival was created by Chan and Matt Younkle of Murfie to bring together professionals from a wide range of disciplines. That is evident in networking events such as High Tech Happy Hour (Aug. 16) and BarCamp Madison (Aug. 18).
