Foley & Lardner: InformationWeek recognizes Foley as technology innovator

Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that it has been named to the InformationWeek 500, an annual listing of the nation’s most innovative users of business technology, for the seventh consecutive year.

InformationWeek identifies and honors the nation’s most innovative users of information technology with its annual 500 listing and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of America’s best-known companies. Top winners have included: The Vanguard Group, CME Group, Conway, National Semiconductor, Kimberly-Clark, Hilton Hotels and Unum. The InformationWeek 500 listing is unique as it spotlights the power of innovation in information technology, rather than simply identifying the biggest IT spenders.

Foley was primarily recognized for its newly-adopted Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), which provides users access to all corporate systems regardless of place or device. The firm has virtualized nearly 70 percent of its servers, facilitating increased attorney availability and timely responsiveness to client needs. This virtualization is complemented by Foley’s Bring Your Own Device program, which enables attorneys to deliver customized client service by allowing them to purchase their preferred computing and mobile devices for business purposes.
