APPLETON, WI – September 17, 2012 – First Business Bank – Northeast, part of First Business Financial Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:FBIZ), announced today that Kim Bassett-Heitzmann and Laurie Benson have joined its Board of Directors.
Kim is President and CEO of Bassett Mechanical. Kim is actively involved in the community and serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill and the Mechanical Contractors Association of WI. She is a past member of the fund-raising committee, and past board member of the Harbor House and the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of TEC, and a graduate of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin, Inc.’s Leadership program. Kim has a Master’s Degree in Management Technology with an emphasis in Construction from University of Wisconsin – Stout, and a Master’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology from University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Laurie is the CEO of LSB Unlimited and she serves on the board of WWBIC (Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Council), ValiCom Corp., Spill Inc., Bassett Mechanical, and First Business Bank, as well as on the advisory boards of UW-Madison School of Business MBA Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship, UW-Madison School of Nursing, the WI and National Girls Collaborative, and Mead & Hunt. She is a past member of the Henry Vilas Zoological Society. She is a co-founder and former CEO of Inacom Information Services, now CoreBTS. As CEO of Inacom Information Systems for its 25 year history, she helped the business grow into one of Wisconsin’s largest technology solutions providers. Laurie retired from the business in July 2009. Laurie has received numerous awards and recognition including most recently the 2010 Athena Award, 2009 Top 100 Women in the IT Channel by “Everything Channel’s CRN Magazine” and the 2009 National SBA Champion in Business Award.
