4th of July: As most consumers adjust to the heat, expect lower-priced air conditioners, fans, patio umbrellas/shades with scattered remaining stock still value-priced in August. And with fireworks celebrations nationwide, coupons and discounts for grilling/party supplies, alcohol/beverages and summer/outdoor toys will be plentiful in early July.
Health & Fitness: Recalling those January “get in shape”resolutions becomes reality when the swim suits come out to play. Expect reduced pricing on swimwear, sports equipment (golf, cycling, running, camping, fishing, apparel/shoes), workout equipment, gym memberships, clothing and iPods, MP3 players, boomboxes and accessories all traditionally go on sale in July and stay affordable through August.
Back-to-School: The early bird shoppers will take advantage of “choice” from hundreds of stores’ featuring July BTS sales including school supplies, LAPTOPS, luggage and clothing/shoes. Expect the best deals, coupons and discounts for student laptops, computers, supplies, and textbooks to show up in late July and all the way through August, and more in September, especially fashion.
NOTE: Parents and students looking for specific brands/specs, especially on tech items, should start shopping earlier as many discounted models can have limited quantities available. They should also take advantage of student discounts using a school issued student ID, to save a little more!
Labor Day Sales: Summer clearance is the theme as retailers look to clear shelves for fall, winter and early holiday products. Expect discounts on lawn & garden tools/supplies, patio & grilling products, and summer fashion. We’ll also see the first signs of holiday travel deals appearing on consumers’ radar.
