When: Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Where: Veterans Welcome Resource Center

8025 Excelsior Drive

Madison, WI

Notes: The Veterans Welcome Resource Center will be a community-based resource that features a unique blend of programs and services to honor and support Wisconsin’s veterans and their families. Housed in the Gialamas Company’s site at 8025 Excelsior Drive on Madison’s west side, the Center will combine the energies of several organizations, each offering a distinct set of services for veterans and their families. Housing these agencies in one space will create seamless access to services that can help veterans through a range of transitional periods, including returning home from deployment, starting or returning to college, and finding employment.

Edgewood College President Dan Carey, Secretary of Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs John Scocos, DryHootch President and Founder Bob Curry, and Travis Leanna and Brian Bieniek, veterans of recent conflicts, will be available for interviews on this project, the first of its kind in the state of Wisconsin.
