Acquisition Increases Agricultural Product Offering and Strengthens Global Opportunities
FORT ATKINSON, Wis. – Baird Capital Partners, the U.S.-based buyout fund of Baird Private Equity, announced today that its portfolio company Digi-Star LLC (“Digi-Star”) has acquired RDS Technology (“RDS”). Ford Campbell advised the seller on the transaction. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Digi-Star, based in Fort Atkinson, Wis., is a leading international provider of advanced measuring solutions for optimizing agricultural performance. Its customized systems and data collection and management software are incorporated into mobile farm equipment to provide precise control over input costs, monitor resource utilization, enhance yield management and optimize farm profitability.
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, RDS is a global market leader in monitoring, measuring and control systems for the agricultural machinery industry. The company also provides on-board weighing equipment to industrial markets such as the quarrying, aggregate and recycling sectors.
