DATCP, Lake States Lumber Association: Register now for upcoming seminar on exporting lumber

MADISON – Expand the reach of your wood products business and increase your bottom line by hearing from the experts at the upcoming seminar, “Exporting from the Lake States.” Individuals and companies who are new or experienced in exporting are encouraged to attend to develop their lumber business worldwide.

The seminar will be held on Monday, September 17 from 12:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Pyle Center in Madison. At the seminar, the American Hardwood Export Council regional directors from China, Japan, Mexico, South America and the Middle East will share their knowledge of hardwood markets and trends. The directors will be able to discuss which export markets make the most sense for individual companies and products.

Additional highlights of the agenda include introductions by Scott Bowe, Professor & Wood Products Specialist for the University of Wisconsin, and a keynote by Michael Snow, Executive Director for the American Hardwood Export Council. Representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will discuss export assistance available for companies.

The registration fee for members of the Lake States Lumber Association is $30 for the first person from each company and $20 for each additional company employee. Non-members can register for $50 per person. The registration fee includes all handout materials and dinner.
