MADISON – The hot and dry weather is heavy on everyone’s mind, and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has pulled together resources for media, farmers and others seeking information about the 2012 drought.

The 2012 drought information can be found at http://datcp.wi.gov/Farms/Drought_2012. The website will continue to be updated as new information is available.

This one-stop shop provides links to other government agencies and weather information. There are links to news releases on the 2012 drought as well as explanations about disaster and emergency declarations.

The website includes links to helpful resources for farmers. The Wisconsin Farm Center can assist farmers with sourcing feed, financial planning and mediation with creditors. The University of Wisconsin-Extension has a range of information from personal safety to livestock care.
