Cousins Subs: Miss America Laura Kaeppeler congratulates winners of Cousins Subs Big Daddy Challenge

Milwaukee, Wis. (August 8, 2012) – Menomonee Falls-based Cousins Subs® celebrated the Wisconsin State Fair and dedication to local nonprofit organizations with the Big Daddy Challenge.

The 40 year old, East-Coast style sub brand charged three teams, led by Milwaukee celebrities, to compete in building and eating the infamous, 17-ingredient, 19-oz. Big Daddy sandwich in the fastest time possible.

In the end, the team led by local radio hosts Kramp & Adler reigned victorious and won $1000 for the Hunger Task Force. All teams were congratulated by Kenosha, Wis.-native Miss America Laura Kaeppeler for their valiant efforts.

About Cousins Subs

In 1972, Bill Specht and his cousin opened the first Cousins Subs Shop in Milwaukee to curb a hankering for their favorite East Coast subs. Their handcrafted, deli-style subs eventually stirred a hungry fan base who especially loved Cousins’ secret recipe for freshly baked bread with the perfect amount of crunch in the crust. This bread eventually became the cornerstone for their Better Bread. Better Subs. positioning. Celebrating its 40th anniversary as a family-owned business in 2012, Cousins Subs and its franchisees now operate approximately 150 stores in six states and are embarking on an expansion plan.
