Children’s Research Institute: Names vice president of research administration

MILWAUKEE (5/8/2012) – Elizabeth Bedwell has been named vice president of Research Administration for Children’s Research Institute, a member of Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Bedwell has been with Abbott Laboratories since 1995, serving most recently as associate director, Clinical Planning and Resource Management. She was responsible for oversight, planning and forecasting across a $1 billion pharmaceutical research portfolio.

Bedwell will provide administrative leadership for Children’s clinical research efforts. Children’s Research Institute advances state-of-the-art pediatric health care through translational research programs to discover life-saving treatments and cures for the diseases that affect children and interventions that enhance quality of life for children and families living with chronic health conditions.

Bedwell has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She and her husband Greg Capper reside in Whitefish Bay.
