Langlade County Culver’s Trailblazer Challenge Sled Dog Races
Saturday & Sunday, January 12 & 13, 2013
Races start Saturday at 10 am, and Sunday at 9 am
The event is hosted by the Antigo/Langlade County Chamber of Commerce and is sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association. The races will be managed by the Wisconsin Trailblazers Dog Sled Club, Inc.
MUSA (Mushing USA) recently announced that our event has been selected as a Wild Card Qualification event for 2013 International Federation of Sled Dog Sports World Championship Race. Qualifying mushers and their teams may travel to Alaska in March to represent the USA in this prestigious competition.
Races will begin at 10 am on Saturday, and at 9 am on Sunday in the Culver’s of Antigo parking lot. Teams of 3-, 4-, 6-, and 10-dogs will run three different route lengths northeast of Antigo. There are several road crossings perfect for spectators to watch the dogs run. Plus, there is plenty of free parking available near Culver’s of Antigo!
