Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield: Resources available for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield members coping with tragedy in Oak Creek

MILWAUKEE – Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin (Anthem) is making its Employee Assistance Program (EAP) resources available to all of its members regardless of their policy type to help individuals and families coping with Sunday’s tragic shooting at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wis. These complimentary resources include telephone-based counseling, online resources focused on dealing with grief, and assistance locating needed services.

Anthem members can access the EAP program by calling 1-877-208-8240 or by visiting http://www.anthemeap.com and using the login name “Wisconsin.”

Anthem’s EAP Account Managers are also in the process of reaching out to local employers to remind them about the breadth of services available to their employees who have been directly impacted or in any way upset by the shooting. Any eligible, directly impacted accounts will also be offered onsite Critical Incident Response services.
