Friesland, WI – October 2, 2012 – In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Alsum Farms & Produce, Inc. is going pink – repackaging their recently released Alsum Griller Russets with pink trays. “Most everyone I know has been affected by breast cancer,” notes Heidi Randall, Marketing Manager at Alsum Farms & Produce. “They either know someone who has battled the disease or have battled it themselves. Since 1973, Alsum has tried to give back to the community – be it fundraising or health and wellness events. This year, we wanted to do our part to raise breast cancer awareness while raising funds to help those in need.” A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Alsum Griller Russets will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The Alsum Griller Russets come in a pack of four. Each potato is pre-washed and wrapped in gold foil. Consumers simply open the package, set their potato on the grill and they’re ready to go. In October, Alsum Farms & Produce will also launch two new pre-washed, pre-wrapped, ready-to-grill or bake potato products – Alsum Griller Russet Singles and Alsum Griller Sweet Potato Singles – in mid-October.
