Agrace HospiceCare: To offer grief support opportunities in January

MADISON, Wis. – In January, Agrace HospiceCare will offer several grief support and discussion groups that are open to the public and provided without charge. Unless otherwise noted, all groups are held at Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison. Agrace recommends waiting two to three months after a death before joining a grief support group.

Grief support group series

Mother Loss Support Group
This four-week series is for adults who are grieving the death of their mother. In addition to providing grief support, the group leader will present and discuss concepts specific to the grieving process in relation to losing one’s mother.
January 8 – January 29 (Tuesdays), 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Journey Through Grief (Sun Prairie)
This seven-week series is for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. In addition to providing grief support, the group leader will present and discuss concepts specific to the grieving process.

January 8 – February 19 (Tuesdays), 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Held at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Drive, Sun Prairie

Spouse/Partner Loss Support Group
This five-week grief support group is for adults who are grieving the death of a spouse or partner. In addition to providing grief support, the group leader will present and discuss concepts specific to the grieving process when one has lost their spouse or partner.
January 9 – February 6 (Wednesdays), 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Recurring support groups:

Bridges Grief Support Group
This ongoing, weekly grief support group is for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. Registration is not required. This group meets every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This informative session for adults offers suggestions on how to navigate the grieving process and provides information about Agrace HospiceCare grief support groups. Call Cheri Milton, grief services manager, at
