MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin’s largest nonprofit community hospice, Agrace HospiceCare, today announced Lynne Myers as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. In this role, Myers will lead the organization of 500 employees and 1,100 volunteers from its headquarters at 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway in Fitchburg. Agrace also has an office in Janesville and has provided hospice services to patients throughout south central Wisconsin since 1978. Myers competed with several health care leaders from across the country as a part of a national search for the position.
“The world of health care is constantly evolving,” said Joan Burke, Agrace HospiceCare Board Chair. “Lynne has a strong record of advancing health care organizations in the changing health care climate through sound leadership, management of operations and strategic planning. She was the clear choice for our next CEO.”
Myers brings nearly two decades of health care expertise to the role, with 11 years at the senior executive level. Most recently she served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Meriter Health Services in Madison. Prior to that, she was vice president of corporate strategy and professional services at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, Md, and director of planning and program development for the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore. An Agrace board member since 2010, Myers has a strong understanding of the direction of health care, and the important role Agrace plays in the local health care continuum.

Agrace HospiceCare has been providing physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families dealing with life-limiting conditions for more than 30 years. Formerly known as HospiceCare Inc., Agrace HospiceCare is a nonprofit, community-based hospice that took on its new name in 2011. With offices in Madison and Janesville, Agrace HospiceCare serves residents in Dane, Green, Jefferson, Rock and Walworth counties.
