Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back-to-School Festival needs volunteers, community resource vendors and food vendors.
Milwaukee – King Advisory Inc. is set to celebrate its 18th Anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back-to-School Festival, Saturday, August 11, 2012, at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 1531 W. Vliet Street. “We are in search of community resource vendors and food vendors for the festival, all are needed and welcomed,” said Vanessa Key, Treasurer and Chair of Vendor Area.
Annually there are over 20,000 people who attend the festival and this is a family event dedicated to preparing our youth for academic success in the new school year.
Individual volunteers, organizations, schools, agencies, and entrepreneurs are welcome to come and sign up at the Volunteer and Vendor Kick-Off at Gene’s Lanes and Lounge, 6315 W. Fond Du Lac Ave. on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
