The Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association (WTBA) applauds Gov. Scott Walker and Republican legislators for delivering on their promise to approve a budget that makes critical investments in Wisconsin’s transportation infrastructure and stops further raids on the Transportation Fund.
Gov. Walker recognizes that bold, smart investments in transportation infrastructure will help stimulate economic development, provide much-needed job opportunities in the construction industry, repair and improve our roads and bridges and provide long-term dividends for all Wisconsin residents in the form of increased public safety.
Legislative leadership also deserves credit for passing a transportation budget that is a big step toward meeting our transportation infrastructure needs and saving and creating tens of thousands of jobs.
