Wisconsin REALTORS Association: Malkasian leaving WRA for NAR position

Madison – The Wisconsin REALTORS Association (WRA) today announced the departure of their long time president Bill Malkasian, who has accepted a vice president position with the National Association of REALTORS. Malkasian will be leading a nationwide initiative to enhance organizational and member political and legislative engagement at the federal, state and local levels of government. He will remain based out of Madison.

Michael Theo will be the new president of the WRA. Theo, who has served as Senior Vice President for Legal and Public Affairs for the WRA since 1985, will take office on October 18, 2011.

The Wisconsin REALTORS® Association is one of the largest trade associations in the state, representing over 13,000 real estate brokers, sales people and affiliates statewide and the home and property owners they serve.
