Project Will Support Job Creation and Retention

MADISON—Governor Scott Walker today announced that Diamond Precision Products, Johnson Creek, Jefferson County, will receive $400,000 in Economic Development Tax Credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation for an expansion project.

“I am pleased that the WEDC is able to assist Diamond Precision Products with this exciting project,” said Governor Walker, who serves as chair of the WEDC Board. “The company’s expansion plan will bring new jobs for Wisconsin workers in the manufacturing industry.”

Diamond Precision Products provides contract machining to the construction, industrial components and heavy truck industries. The award will support needs for additional space and equipment for the company. Representing a multi-million dollar investment, the project will assist the creation of 107 new jobs over the next few years and the retention of 85 current positions.

The WEDC is Wisconsin’s lead economic development agency. Created in statute as a public authority, the WEDC is responsible for economic development activities previously administered by the Department of Commerce, a state agency eliminated on July 1, 2011.
