Wisconsin Business Council: Congratulates Brian Taffora on Milwaukee County appointment

MADISON – The Wisconsin Business Council is pleased to announce that executive director Brian Taffora has been named Milwaukee County’s new director of economic development.

“Brian brings a wealth of experience to this position from his tenure at the Wisconsin Business Council,” says WBC President Phil Prange. “He’s a proven advocate and advisor to the business community. We look forward to continuing our work with him in this new position as he focuses his efforts on economic development efforts in Milwaukee County.”

Taffora’s experience will be an asset in this role for the county. Prior to leading the Wisconsin Business Council, Taffora worked as an investment advisor for nearly a decade, specializing in strategies to help business owners and key executives protect the financial interests of their companies and employees. His previous business experience includes business development with AXA Advisors and with Tolan Schueller and Associates, part of the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

In this position, Taffora will work closely with the county’s municipalities on development opportunities. To facilitate collaboration with the City of Milwaukee, Taffora will have office space available at Milwaukee’s Department of City Development and at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
