MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance has released an updated list of retail stations that carry E85 in Wisconsin.

The list, compiled by the Wisconsin Office of Energy Independence, provides information about the 125 retail locations across the state at which consumers can purchase E85, and another six locations that will be opening soon.

The WBIA is working with national organizations and the State of Wisconsin to increase the number of flex fuel pumps available to consumers.

There are 140,000 flex fuel vehicles on Wisconsin roadways capable of using E85 – a blend of 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline – and the technology now exists for all new cars to be made to run on E85.

“E85 is a homegrown, renewable fuel that not only improves our air quality, but creates jobs right here in Wisconsin,” WBIA Executive Director Josh Morby said. “This updated list will help Wisconsin consumers find locations near them where they can purchase a fuel that will save them money at the pump and keep energy dollars in Wisconsin.”

The Wisconsin Bio Industry Alliance is a diverse group of businesses, environmental groups and statewide and local organizations that have come together to build both public and legislative awareness of the Bio Industry in Wisconsin.
