Milwaukee, Wisc. – February 14, 2011 – The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. announced it has hired Ricky C. Benjamin as a partner practicing in the areas of Litigation-Tort and Labor & Employment Counseling/Litigation in the firm’s Milwaukee office. He will also have an active role in other practice areas offered by the firm in its Milwaukee and Madison offices.

Benjamin has more than 20 years of experience providing legal and business advice, both as senior in-house counsel and at national and regional law firms. Most recently, he was general counsel to Park Avenue OculoPlastic Surgeons in Denver, Colo. He is the second former general counsel hired by Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek in the past nine months.

Prior to Park Avenue OculoPlastic Surgeons, Benjamin was assistant vice president/managing attorney for Zurich Insurance Company in Denver, Colo., where he managed the Colorado Staff Legal Office, including outside counsel in Wyoming and New Mexico. He also served as general counsel to University Dental Arts, Denver, Colo., and as senior trial attorney at Fireman’s Fund’s Insurance, Englewood, Colo. Prior to that, he was an associate attorney at Weinberger & Kanan P.C., Fowler, Schimberg & Cowman, and The Connell Law Firm, all in Denver, Colo. serving as Captive Counsel to various commercial insureds.

Benjamin earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Southern University and A&M College, and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law.
