Nathan Fishbach lifetime achievement award celebrated

Milwaukee – April 7, 2011 – Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek will honor the selection of Nathan Fishbach as the recipient of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association 2011 Judge Myron L. Gordon Lifetime Achievement Award with a lead gift to Marquette University Law School to create a new student-development fund, the Wisconsin law firm announced today. Other friends of Nathan Fishbach will participate in the gift.

The Nathan Fishbach Student Development Fund will enable Marquette Law School’s Career Planning Center to bring in local, national or international speakers whose experiences and counsel will help law students get a greater sense of the profession into which they are entering. In supporting efforts focused on students’ professional development, the Fund supports an area of interest to Fishbach, who has long been an advocate of and participant in such programs at Marquette Law School.

”Nathan Fishbach embodies the best in this profession and the best of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek,” said Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek’s Chief Executive Paul Eberle. “We are thrilled to honor Nathan by supporting the professional development of the next generation of lawyers now learning the craft at the Marquette University Law School.”

“Marquette Law School is proud to join Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek in honoring the exemplary career of Nathan Fishbach with a student development fund that will bear his name,” said Marquette Law School Dean Joseph D. Kearney. “Nathan has been an exemplar in his interest in our students’ professional development and thus his commitment to the future of our profession. He is a mentor to our students and, more broadly, a model citizen of our legal community.”

Fishbach earned a B.A. from George Washington University, and earned his law degree from Villanova University School of Law. Prior to joining Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek in 1993, he served in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, where he held a variety of posts, including Interim U.S. Attorney, Deputy U.S. Attorney and Civil Division Chief. His practice at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek focuses on complex civil and white-collar litigation as well as representing corporations, governmental entities and professionals in compliance matters.

Fishbach is the Founding President of Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association. He has won numerous honors and awards, including The Wisconsin Law “Leaders in the Law 2008” and Lawyer of the Year from the Milwaukee Bar Association of 2005. He resides in Fox Point.
