MADISON – Governor Scott Walker announced today that Winona Foods, Inc., Green Bay, is eligible for up to $75,000 in economic development tax credits through the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) for expansion of its manufacturing capacity. The project is expected to create up to 27 jobs.

Winona Foods will invest approximately $1.6 million in its expansion project that includes adding additional production space and purchasing capital equipment. Winona Foods is a leading maker and supplier of high-quality cheese to the food service, industrial and retail trade segments. The company’s state-of-the-art facility was featured on The History Channel’s “Modern Marvels” in 2004.
