Veolia Environment: Hosts ribbon cutting ceremony, begins operations at its Wisconsin Hickory Meadows Landfill gas-to-energy project

What: Veolia Environnement North America (VENA) will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 16 to mark the commencement of operations for its new landfill gas-to-energy project (LFGTE) at the Veolia ES Hickory Meadows Landfill, located in eastern Wisconsin. State, community and business leaders will gather at the project site to introduce the environmental and economic benefits of the project for the state of Wisconsin. The project’s operational capabilities include supplying enough clean energy to power up to 2,800 homes annually.

Key executives from Veolia Energy, Veolia Environmental Services and political figures from the local community will be in attendance. Media are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, tour the new facility and enjoy light refreshments.
