UW System: Johnson Controls, UW campuses to announce research partnership

Two news conferences Thursday will announce a new statewide partnership to foster collaborative research in energy storage that will further position Wisconsin as an emerging technology leader.

Gov. Scott Walker (attending in Glendale), Johnson Controls Power Solutions President Alex Molinaroli, UW-Madison Provost Paul M. DeLuca Jr., UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Michael Lovell, UW System President Kevin Reilly will be on hand to describe the cooperative research venture, which will include new research faculty and laboratory space at UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee.

The first announcement will be made at 10 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Controls, 5757 N. Green Bay Ave., Glendale, Wis.

A second event will begin at 2 p.m. on the UW-Madison campus in the central hall on the first floor of the Mechanical Engineering Building, 1513 University Ave. Media parking will be available in Lot 17 in the 1500 block of Engineering Drive.
