UW-Stevens Point: Strategic planning open forums set at UWSP

Two public open forums will be held this week at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for the discussion on the development of the university’s strategic plan.

The forums, identical in format and material, will be offered on Thursday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in Room 101 of the Collins Classroom Center and on Friday, April 8, at noon at the Laird Room North at the Dreyfus University Center. Community members as well as UWSP students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

The forums will give the public a chance to see the work of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, which has finalized a vision statement for UWSP and has identified four broad planning themes for university initiatives: Ensure Learning, Enhance Living, Respect Legacy and Leverage Resources. The work of task forces for each theme will also be discussed.

The forums will be recorded and the recordings will be available online for those who cannot attend. See the strategic planning initiative for more information.
