MADISON – The entryways to some of the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s most iconic buildings – the bannered Bascom Hall, the archway to Camp Randall and the imposing wood-and-iron doors to the Red Gym – are among the photos featured on a poster benefiting need-based scholarships.

“Doors of UW-Madison” features 25 images of iconic entranceways – including the marble Rathskeller and Washburn Observatory – as well as more modern sites such as Grainger Hall and the Biotechnology Center’s glassy facade.

The Division of Enrollment Management developed the poster as a special incentive to help support UW-Madison students through the Great People Scholarship Campaign. For more information about the campaign, visit http://www.uwgreatpeople.org.

The division’s June Ganser says that volunteer photographers enjoyed taking pictures of doors across campus.

“We have a lot of interesting doors on campus that represent opportunity for students. The poster makes a nice holiday gift – both to the person who receives the poster and to students who benefit from the scholarships,” Ganser says.

The posters can be purchased for $20 at the University Book Store at its State Street and Hilldale locations.

They can also be purchased by sending a check ($25 includes shipping and handling, $30 for international) along with your name and mailing address to DEM Posters, 333 East Campus Mall, Madison, WI 53715-1376.
