MADISON – The La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will host a half-day conference to set the stage for Gov. Scott Walker’s attempts to establish clear, plentiful and sophisticated information for judging the quality of almost every school in Wisconsin.

The conference on education accountability, called “Moving Beyond No Child Left Behind to College and Career Readiness:  Building a New School Accountability System for Wisconsin,” will be Thursday, July 28, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Pyle Center, 702 Langdon St.

Professor Douglas N. Harris of the La Follette School will speak on building a new accountability system for Wisconsin.
