AeroInnovate highlights new technologies, entrepreneurs, emerging companies and investment trends July 25 to 31, 2011, at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin-Extension-managed Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network and the UW-Oshkosh Business Success Center organize the annual event to connect aviation innovators, investors, industry leaders, technology scouts and researchers.
The third-annual event includes a new Technology Showcase, more forums and the popular Pitch & Mingle networking session with several start-ups’ presentations to 100 industry leaders and investors. Pitch & Mingle presentation applications, due July 1, should include the executive summary from the start-up’s business plan. The Technology Showcase exposes new aero-related technologies though daily displays, presentations and question-and-answer sessions. Technology Showcase applications, due July 8, should include a brief biography, title, one-page summary of technology including why it is commercially important, and two options for days. Send applications to Meridith Jaeger, jaegerm@uwosh.edu.
Forums cover early to mid-stage start-up issues and run throughout the week. Topics include:
– Business planning and pitching
– Intellectual property protection
– Funding
– Technology commercialization
– Building advisory boards
– Open innovation
AeroInnovate is free with AirVenture admission, except for the Pitch & Mingle session, which is $25 in advance. For information, visit http://www.AeroInnovate.org.
